Oh templecon. Silly silly templecon.
Templecon is basically a gaming convention that happens here in RI.
I have spent the last 3 days in and out of no less than 4 parties (and three more to go to tonight), wearing little more than dresses and corsets with my hair up in curls that would shame shirly temple.
It has been a good few days.
I'm back up to 140 pounds More like 142. But i was able to fit into a corset i haven't worn since i was 80lbs. So I'm happy. Once people start posting pics of my outfits i'll post them up here.
Tonight is the afterparty and then the afterafterparty at my place.
I am now best friends with Rhode Island's Pirate Players (spreading the history of rhode islands pirates), the makers of two steampunk LARPS (they loved me and my boyfriend and wanted us to come LARP with them), a bisexual GM for vampire the masq and of course the guys at Veteran Gaming. (Nobody knows what im talking about but let me chronicle it here)
I'll soon be making steampunk nerf guns btw if anyone wants them!
/happy sigh.
I realize it's not as cool as getting invited toa hollywood afterparty but I'm a little proud that i went from (last year) being cooped up in one room chatting with one person who i already knew to knowing everyone in the convention, being invited to every party and being on everyone in the nerd community's A list.
Is that like winning the special olympics?
