Eastlake (where i spend the last 7 years of my life) is up in flames. All but 3 friends are evacuated to shelters and i've lost contact with most of them. Luckily my best friend and her newborn baby are safe (they have nobody to help them but their handicapped mother so an immediate evac is going to be very difficult).
My aunt in malibu was evacuated from her home and that area is now on fire and she's not sure if she lost her home. But on the bright side they were evacuated to their beach house.... and had fire insurance. Silly malibu people and their second million dollar houses. But she's fine didn't manage to take any of her stuff with her just the dogs and she's kind of in shock but like i said she's doing fine. Was more concerned with me then her own situation.
My dad's house however is being threatened (as i just learned a few hours ago) he's in Lake Forest and there's fires all around there. Thank god my dad flew up to Canada today and is well insured in case anything happens. He's missing the worst of it which is good because the last time there was a bad fire he was almsot unable to breath and hacking up black phelm for weeks after. He obviously only caught a bit of the fire and when he called me from canada he was surprised to hear it had escalated so quickly. He's well secure with his documents and such so if anything happens for the most part stuff is safe. howere there are quite a few irreplacable heirlooms in his home. Such as my grandmother urn and some of the only surviving photos of my family when it was in fact a family.
I'll keep people posted if only because it helps me not have panic attacks to get it out.
