Happy Easter!
All right, so Easter isn't one of my favorite holidays. It rocked when I was a little kid- I always got a new dress and new shoes (shiny!) and an easter basket, and did an egg hunt and got to hear this nice story about some nice man named Jesus who loved me.
ahh, the fairy tales of youth. It was pleasant when I was young, but now it's just some garish pastel holiday made to celebrate something I don't believe in and to sell chocolate and stuffed animals.
Although I still did get an easter basket. My mom is pretty nice. It feels odd though- I almost feel like she shouldn't give me one, as I don't believe in her religion anymore. I suppose I can see it as celebrating the birth of spring instead of a Christian holiday.
Also- got invited by boyfriend's parents to Easter dinner. That is nice, since I don't live anywhere near my family, and I also want to get to know his folks better, because I am serious about this boy.
Just got back from spring break (woo). I vacationed in the beautiful rainy Pacific Northwest! Me so smart. I went to Eugene, Portland, and the Northern Olympic Peninsula (in Washington state). I had a really nice time- it was cool because I am planning on moving to Portland in July, and got a chance to check out some jobs and different neighborhoods where I might live, and also talk to my potential roomie (one of them). Nice!
