Poem of the day
Emily Dickinson (1830-86). Complete Poems. 1924.
Part Four: Time and Eternity

A TRAIN went through a burial gate,
A bird broke forth and sang,
And trilled, and quivered, and shook his throat
Till all the churchyard rang;
And then adjusted his little notes, 5
And bowed and sang again.
Doubtless, he thought it meet of him
To say good-by to...

Poem of the day
by Thomas Campion

By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;...
