I don't usually make resolutions but it's almost impossible to enter into a new year without at least considering how you can do better and since @missy and @rambo suggested it I'm going to give it a try.
I'm going to be blatantly honest. 2015 was a fuck show, I went through a weird break up and generally didn't listen to what I needed.
I have been fighting what felt like a losing battle with anxiety, I don't know how many toilets I sat in holding my breath until I realised I didn't have to. There is no shame in admitting you are scared and you can't and won't explain why and removing yourself. And I am happier for it.
1. If it's not ok, leave.
2. Don't allow people to take more than you are capable of giving. There is a lot of power in saying no.
3. Stop waiting for perfection to be happy, it's ok to fall apart and be a mess and not know exactly where you are going and it's also ok to still be happy.
I think those are the most important bits of self reflection I can take from 2015.
I can only hope 2016 is filled with laughter and fur kids and boobs and stupid nights dancing and peace in my brain and challenges and opportunities and hard choices. Gotta make the best of things while you are here because you won't be back this way again.
