So generally I'm pretty laid back but @missy and @charmaine have asked us to write about our biggest pet peeves and when I got thinking about it I realised that there are actually a few things that get me riled up..
1. In South Africa it is common for a lot of people to use taxi services (usually kombi's or mini busses) anyone living here will probably understand how most of my frustration stems from this source. They do not follow the rules of the road but are rather governed by their own terms. LIKE, overtaking you at an intersection only to stop the car to a halt to let the passenger out in front of you and hooting the split second a traffic light has gone green, I can't tell you how the sound of that hooter makes me want to not drive and sit at the robot until it has gone red. Anyway, I am trying to make my peace with the taxi's remembering they are just people trying to make a living (it's my 'be calm' mantra) I then realised that most of my pet peeves are derived from bad driving.
2. Seeing parents driving with little children in the back seat with no seat belts one, I once got so angry I screamed out the window "put a seatbelt on your kid" to a badly driving unbuckled passing car.
3. My last pet peeve is more personal, it really gets on my nerves when people are sad and ask for advice and EVERYTHING you say to them is the wrong thing to say or met with an argument. If you want to wallow don't ask for help, if you want to feel better don't shit your pants when you get suggestions.
4. People who make vague upset/angry facebook status's that are obviously directed at someone then refuse to explain more.
So those are the things that annoy me the most, I got a little heated just sitting here writing them. Haha
