August was a huge month for me. I went on a trip to Joburg on study leave and to get some wedding done. My set also went into MR and Cuddlefish had a birthday and we partied in JHB with Talamia, PunkSkunk, Tarion, Xaosnyte, Biship, Kohana, and Arq.
I am so exhausted at the tail end of all. But it was worth it.
I passed my Pilates exam with 87% for theory. I don't know how much I got for my practical but so long as I passed. This is only the beginning step towards becoming a truly talented instructor but nothing worth it comes easily. I can't explain how I feel about this. It's a powerful thing to go from stasis and directionlessness (it is a word, fuck you) to a clear goal from initiation to realization of that goal. I am really proud and happy.
On a less pleasant note the first day I was away fuckers broke into my car. Thank god I have Cuddlefish ultra-boyfriend who decided not to tell me until I got home after the trip. He repaired it the same day too. If you want to learn how to make women's panties drop so hard they leave a hole in the earth, show this kind of consideration and awesomeness.
I also went to go perv over Inga Beckman lead singer of Lark an awesome South African band:
And as for Bibliophile, you guys put it on FP, another victory in a month of victories. Thank you for the ever entertaining comments. I giggled when I saw the tag books, boobs and bloody mary's. I also found it funny how people were almost as excited by the books as my nekkidness: a sure sign I am keeping the right kind of company! Only now once the storm has past am I really able to sit back and enjoy all the quirky, funny and sweet comments and tags on my set. Thank you so much.
Another little piece of excitement: last year a number of SG's went to the UK for a shootfest/holiday in an old Mill converted into a guesthouse.
Well, we made a DVD, I happen to be in it being my awkward goofy self. So if you would like to find out how South African my accent sounds (I nearly fell off my chair when I heard my voice on the vid, it is surreal hearing your own voice recorded) and get a sneak preview of the set I shot there go download it. Here is a link to the preview:
Exit music: I have this song welded to my brain at the moment. I need more of their music.
Lumo out!
