So, on Tuesday I started a new job. Really not a new job, it's just game testing like I normally do, but at a different company. These guys have made a slew of Harry Potter, and LotR games. They also recently made Lego Star Wars, which many of you have found to be awesome; I would tend to agree.
The guys at Amaze are pretty cool, but they're in the middle of shuffling around offices and such for a move. So I really have gotten paid most of the week to play Zelda on NES. I've almost beat it, but I've died alot so far.
Occasionally, my boss Jeff will get something from the programmers, mess with it for 20 minutes, then go back to surfing FARK while we wait for the devs to hash something out for another few hours. I'd lend him a hand, but I don't have any hardware yet; I don't have a computer to play on either. Just Jeff's big 36" HDTV that I play NES games on.
So far, no bad parts about this job, except for one. We get paid monthly. Yeah, once a month. This is pretty assy compared to the weekly thing I was used to. It also puts a big dent in my "leaving the house" plans.
See, I ended my job just before Prom, right? So, I made sure I had enough money to make it to Prom, and live through the end of the month, and even a little longer, should I need to. This included food, entertainment, and all that jazz. So I was plenty prepared when I didn't start my job until the end of May. I figure in a week or two, I'll have a paycheck again, and no big deal, right? *sigh*
So for the next month, I probably won't be out anywhere. On the plus side, I'll have plenty of time to surf SG, I just won't be participating. This seems to be timley, as most of my friends have dubbed me "Le Asshol". Perhaps some time apart is wise; I think I have become the unwelcome guest. I don't think anyone will miss me.
I have recently become addicted to the show Lost. My boss burned me the first season onto a few DVD's, and I've been watching it non-stop. It's creepy as fuck, and it's deep too. There's so many layers in this series, you really should go watch it if you haven't already.
And for those of you commenting on the last entry, I wouldn't actually get that tatooed on my arm, it'd be nearly impossible. That was just an image I was messing with in Photoshop, with some brushes and filters. I thought it came out pretty good. But rest assured, any tatoo would have much less effects to it.
