I saw the new Batman movie last night and I gotta say: I miss the realism that Schumacher brought to the franchise. Gotham city needs its homeless huddled around neon green fires. It needs neon spotlights everywhere. It needs villains with their $1,000,000,000 complexes with millions of dollars of custom neon lights and rotating spotlights. It needs every single inch of the town to look like a rave.
Yeah, I had the misfortune of catching some of both Batman Forever and Batman and Robin before seeing Batman: The Dark Knight last night. I would really like to know the thoughts of Joel Schumacher after seeing how it can be properly done.
Wow. What a great movie though.
So, life in Cotati has been good so far. I have friends that live here so I'm kept a little more busy than in Seaside. Right after I moved here they had a dinner party, here was the menu:
1st Course
Terrine of Grilled Pheasant Sausage served over Herb Risotto
*
J Cuvee 20
2nd Course
Caramelized Onion & Chevre Tart
*
Lepore Rose
3rd Course
Pan seared Whitetail Deer Ribeye with Sauteed Mushrooms & Baby Arugula
*
2000 Rafanelli Cabernet
Intermezzo
2001 Beringer Private Reserve Cabernet Sorbet
4th Course
Grilled Elk Top Sirloin with Savory Potato Pancake & Blackberry Juniper Demiglace
*
2000 Rafanelli Terrace Select Cabernet
5th Course
Buttermilk Pie with Fruit Compote
Moscato D'Asti
Great stuff. I would have included pictures (and I was planning on posting this a while ago) but I got tired of waiting on my friend to email me the pictures that I took.
Still on unemployment. The break has been good. Its given me some time to sit back a bit and think of what I want to do next, time to read and time to paint Warhammer figures. I have a few art projects that I want to do as well.
When I moved I didn't have internet for several weeks. I was rather sad that most of the sets that went up were ones that I had already seen in member review.
