Saw a little bit of the Grammy's last night. I say a little bit because I would rather watch amateurs sing badly over at American Idol then watch professional singers sing badly.
There were a few good moments. Sly making an appearance was cool. Some much needed props being sent out to a lot of much deserving, lets say "vintage" musicians was great.
I said a long time ago that Christina Aguilara(however its spelled) will be around a lot longer than Britney Spears. Because at least Christina has a voice, not my style of music, but I knew that eventually when she got over her slutty phase, her voice would still be there while Britney would have nothing. Christina's performance with Herbie Hancock last night kind of proved my point.
U2 got album of the year, cool. I liked the song Vertigo. I heard only snippets of the other artists that were up for the award and I'm glad U2 got it. This reminds me, I need to go get the Joshua Tree CD.
Would someone please challenge Green Day in the "Rock" category? Please?
