A few random moments from my Thursday:
You know when you hear your voice recorded like on an answering machine or something and a small part of you dies inside knowing that you sound like that. If you don't know the feeling I'm slightly jealous. So I'm on the bus and this girl says something I kid you not she had the answering machine voice. MY answering machine voice. Only it wasn't so bad. It didn't hurt that she was attractive but either way I can honestly say I don't hate my voice outside of recorded instances. It reminded me of that episode of Family Guy when Peter comments that the doctor and father in law have the same voice. What are the chances that I would be on the same bus with my voice twin? Yes random I know but wanted to share none the less.
Speaking of the bus I was terrified. I wasn't initially but then this girl got on and I don't know if he started hitting on her or what because I didn't start eavesdropping until further in but she was giving him the directions for his route. And he was mentioning that he'd only just started. That's when I started noticing how sporadic his breaking was and how far from the curb he was stopping. I was afraid, first, that he would miss my stop or drive in the wrong direction and I would be forced to walk even though I just used 2 bus tickets. But of course I'm cursed (blessed on occasion) with a wandering mind and started fearing he would get into an accident and so I started to fear for my life. But then she got off the bus and I started fearing that he would get lost again. He did miss a few stops but not mine and clearly I'm home safe and sound.
So not so miscellaneous moments as this included quite a few moments. I was asked to stay late at job 1 and also worked job 2 so I ended up working from 6 am to 9pm. I did have a couple hours in between which I spent commuting and purchasing fabric for my Halloween costume. Now I just need to design it. I want to go vintage but I really don't want to have to explain to everyone I meet what I'm supposed to be but at the same time I don't want to go tacky and obvious. I'm an artist and a contemporary costume designer. My costume has to always be imaginative and whimsical but something worthy of Broadway, not grade school musicals. oh well I have until tomorrow to come up with something brilliant. Have a crazy day ahead of me. I'm looking forward to Saturday when I might be able to actually sleep. Fingers crossed.
Speaking of sleep, that thought is not only desirable but some what necessary. Enjoy you Friday.
