Putting in a plug for SG member, Zak Smith. He has a new book out called, "We Did Porn." If you've looked at any of his blogs on SG, you've seen how good a writer he is, how intelligent, humorous and unique. I've read the first few pages of the book, and I'm waiting for my own copy. (Yes, he does actually do porn, thus the title. He's also a quite acclaimed artist. Talented man...in many different ways.)
In any case, I'm excited about reading the whole book, and I think a lot of you would enjoy the read, too. It isn't a "bathroom read" ( a term one little old lady who made the mistake of taking one of my creative writing classes called any story with even a hint of sex in it. Poor woman. She did not approve of us. Even complained about an adult male slightly older than the students writing a sexual story--as being too creepy and wrong for the "children" in the classroom.... Ahem. College "children...." I shot her down with the 1st amendment pretty quickly. Of course, she didn't approve of me at all--tattooed, blue jean wearing college professor....)
I got side-tracked. Back to Zak Smith's book. He's worth checking out, in my overly educated opinion. You can catch reviews of the book and read the first page or two on Amazon.
Hey--you find a good thing, you oughta share that good thing with friends. So that's my suggested "Summer Reading List" so far.... I know you've just been waiting and waiting for my suggestions. Ha.

Thanks for letting me know. Just make sure there are no children or prudes around when you read it, especially chapters two and three, lol. I'm looking forward to an honest critique from you when the time comes.
