Hello Friends,
What a lovely day to be an Englishman. In case you had not heard (I appreciate some of you do live other a bit of a big pond) the entire of London an surrounding areas are being hit with riots. It really pisses me off. It seems that whilst other countries riot over corrupt goverments, human rights, freedom of speech etc. The people rioting in this country seem to have no reason other than they think it will be fun. Most of the people involved are young people and clearly there is not enough fun to be had these days without rioting. I have so far seen two reasons (that claim to be legit) in the media:
1. A 14 year old kid want rioting because of taxes. Last time I checked you did not pay taxes until you are 16.
2. People want respect and wealth. Hmm have they thought about trying to earn either?
I doubt that either of these are genuine concerns of the rioters.
The problem for the police in England is that we have become such a nancy state that every time they hurt someones feelings or worse they come under fire from their bosses and sued. So the poor officers get to stand on the front line in their riot gear and is all they can do is say "please mr & Mrs rioter please don't do that.
Fucking scum. They really have no consideration for others. They decided to burn a shop to the ground but did not think about the poor woman living in her flat above the shop who then had to jump from the second floor to safety. No to much her entire life possession are now burnt to a crisp. But noooo of course this is fine because they want to have their fun.
Sorry to have gone on about it but sometimes I feel ashamed by the British people. We have it so lucky in comparison to some other places but we are still not happy.
On a lighter note, I had to renew my suicide girls membership the other day. So I have now been a member for a year. It has gone so fast but of course a lot has changed since then. Personally I have tunnelled my ears (only 10mm mind) and a few more tattoos, including my Hunter S Thompson inspired, Half sleeve. Getting my leg finished this saturday.
My wife and I have celebrated our two year anniversary.
In recent developments I got an iPad 2 which is awesome.
Oh and the I have also been introduced to the song of ice and fire books by a good friend. Simply amazing, never thought I would be into fantasy book but wow I was truly blown away by them.
I would also suggest that everyone watches Super starring Rainn Wilson very funny very dark film.
