"Already we were where I could he the rumbling
of the water pluging down to the next circle,
something like the sound of beehives humming,
when three shades with one impulse broke away,
running, from a group of spirits passing us
beneath the rain of bitter suffering.
They were coming towards us shouting with one voice:
'O you there, stop! From the clothes you wear,
you seem to be a man from our perverted city.'
Ah, the wounds I saw covering their limbs,
some old, some freshly branded by the flames!
Even now, when I think back to them, I grieve.
Their shouts caught the attention of my guide,
and then he turned to face me, saying, 'Wait
for these are shades that merit your respect.
And were it not the nature of this place
to rain with piercing flames, I would suggest
you run towards them, for it would be more fitting.'"
Dante.
I know this has like nothing to do with the Dante's actual meaning but I completly relate to the punishment these shades are suffering; There has been so much going on in my life recently - and i've been doing so much stuff for so many people and messing around with meetings and dealing with other peoples rash decisions and it really does feel like i'm running around to avoid the fire.
Or at least that I have been. Things seem to be coming together and Project Mayhem starts in a couple of weeks - yay! Which means that I get to take my team and go hide for 4 months and just code.
There is little I hate more than realising that it was weeks since I actually achieved something that I felt good about but Project mayhem will fix that for sure
Found the profile pic in a 30 days of night comic and thought it was cool as it actualy looks like me!
Went to see dawn of the dead last night and I thinking it's a bit of a mixed bag. It was cool as a new horror film but pretty crap as a zombie flick and as a remake of Romero's classic.

The skeksis in Dark Crystal were beyond creepy. They gave me nightmasres for ages when I was a kid.
