Yesterday was a good day. In the morning I went to a coffee shop and met up with the radical Fairies (bunch of alternative queers) Was introduced to a bunch interesting, cute guys. Inquired about a job at the shop that was hosting. Walked around, got lost, got found. Talked to my Momma. Came home and did some reading. Then went out to one of the Goth clubs in the evening. Great, great place. It's underground, dim. They gave me my drinks free all night since they were Non-Alcoholic. Bartenders were really nice. I got no attitude from any of the staff, or the "Scenesters" It seemed like everyone was just really there to have a good time. They have a really small dance floor, so when you got 10 people dancing on it, it looked packed. I got to see the floor packed with people dancing to Einsturzende Neubauten and Fad Gadget. Really good music for most of the night. I met a great girl named Kate. We started talking and seem to have a bunch in common. She is 25, has 3 lord of the rings tattoos, and has a twin peaks obbsession. Didn't exchanges numbers or anything, we'll see if we run into each other again. The club also reminded me how small the world really is. Noir (the club) really reminds me of the haunt (club I used to go to in Ithaca N.Y.) Very similar vibe from it. I kept seeing people that reminded me of other people that I knew from N.Y. This Dj is Wilhelm, this guy is steve 99 etc. etc. Then I saw a guy that REALLY REALLY looked like someone I knew from there. We kept looking at each other, and then I saw him dance and was convinced. So I went up and talked to him and it was confirmed that this was Dan from Ithaca. He lives in Eugene and comes to Portland on the weekends. What are the chances of that? The world keeps shrinking. Makes me a little less lonely to know that I can run into anyone from my past at anytime. Maybe I am adjusting. I missed everone at Razorfists party last night. Hope you all had a good time
