So I finally got around to buying the components for my new computer... I am terribly excited and filled with nerdish glee. For those of you who like acronyms and abbreviations, the stats are below in the spoiler
I am going to be so poor for awhile... who needed to save up for tuition anyway? Seriously though, I kind of feel obligated to have a decent gaming rig in my line of work... research, that's why I am getting this, that's right...
Now all I need to do is go wireless with my keyboard and mouse and hit up some 5.1 sound.

Wow, thank you so much for your advice! You obviously gave it a lot of thought and for that, I'm humbled! I really appreciate it, maybe I'll even print it out and highlight it for when I decided to drop the bomb. I got tickets to the Pogues on the 19th, are you going?
