That's my 2nd article published in two attempts. I just submitted ones I thought would be interesting. My next one may be about toes, haha.
Hell of a night. I knew it would be when I saw our Oracle DBA, a couple sys admins and a programmer all working on an issue at 7pm on a Friday. I didn't get much of a break, but 30 second IM chats with a few friends of mine kept me sane.
You think you get email? I get 1,000 emails a shift at work sometimes from applications I monitor. They're supposed to help diagnose problems, but rarely ever contain a golden nugget. Last night I got 65,000+ emails, and you thought you had spam problems?
All they did was become a nuisance as I knew what the problem was.
I always have this debate when I get home on a workday, do you go to bed or do you spend a few? I hate sleeping my day away, but I've done it the past two. I think I'll stay up a few. Hey that rhymed. And this does too?
