it's 70+ today in portland. my tan is sinking in.

i'll be looking out my window here at work wishing i was outside. until mid-day, then i'm going on a lunch date with the sun, we're gonna make out

One of my best friends back in St. Louis plays in a rec league on a baseball team with Nelly and Murphy Lee. So he's sorta like my homeboy, ya know?

In all reality if I was to walk outside right now and Nelly was there, I would just be another fan who says, "Hey Nelly, I'm friends with so and so, and you know him right?"

I did see the St. Lunatics play a few times before Nelly signed his record contract. I moved out of St. Louis about, 4 months after Country Grammar came out, and my first day going to school in New Mexico I walked into a record store and they had a huge Nelly display, and I said, "Holy shit! Homeboy's made it!" Sure I had heard him on the radio but I just thought they were supporting the local boy ya know? Now he owns the Bobcats.

emi is still alive. stoked. not sure how much longer she's gonna last, but the governor called and cleared her for awhile longer. smile

surfing today was a fucking workout. 10ft swell, tons of mush on the inside, nice outside. weather couldn't be better...sunny and clear.

Work has killed the joy of a weekday surf, and the conditions havent been worth the effort of fighting the weekend crowd to get a wave, so combination of too busy, and poor conditions. Come winter when the swell picks up and the summer crowds thin a little, I'll be back out there.

Yeah, I'm loving the job, they're switching me because I'm on a Graduate Program, so they want me broadly skilled before I start my position for the rest of the year, so as soon as I get the hang of a position they up the challenge again, which is good I supposed it keeps me learning.

i think my dog emi may get put down soon. 14 years old now and she's got a bad eye problem. she's going to the vet tomorrow for an evaluation...i don't think she'll be able to handle a surgery so i think they'll recommend euthanization.

frown sad stuff for me. gonna be drinking for her tonight and hopefully some surfing this weekend will help me clear...

Wow, I just watched the press conference, Maurice was really bummed. I'm bummed for him, I don't know if it's his fault, I wonder if this change will make a difference. The Blazers haven't been the same since Paul Allen bought them. I just don't understand anything that they do. They're not a "team" they're a corporation.

went surfing on saturday for the first time in 4 1/2 months. so stoked still...permagrin hasn't washed off. wore my knee brace out in the water and it didn't bug me hardly at all, very happy about that.

jamie foxx won, so happy for him. swank stole julia roberts' grill too.
