mundy - back at work.
weekend was fun, ended up making yakisoba for the potluck on friday, i used to chef at a japanese restaurant so i've got that down pretty good.
drank a lot, but had a bunch of fun too. getting myself back into shape (aside from the drinking). situps and pushups are sooo beneficial. i don't have a gym membership so i just do exercises at home. i have a swiss ball for my abs, elastic bands for greater resistance on pushups, and a dumbell for biceps. still can't do any running on my knee(ACL surgery), but my knee is doing rad for only being 1 month after surgery. only have 2 more rehab appointments.
got the firefighter written test on the 18th. so stoked for that.

One thing I did, was I bits traded with people to get it so that I was using only the 4 chests that had wings on them for my angels army. The sergeant one off the tactial sprue I cut down the neck so it matched the others and shaved the top skull off so it wouldn't be a half skull after cutting it down.
Painting order:
- Chaos black spray undercoat.
- Graveyard earth on the parchment looking seals on the legs.
- Bleached bone painted on the chest wings.
- Bleached bone drybrushed on the parchment looking seals on the legs.
- Scab red on the wax part of the leg seal.
- Red gore in the eyes.
- Chaos black on the parts that are going to be metal and what's going to stay black. The place the pack attatches on the back, the joints and flexible bits on the armor, the center insignia on the chest, the pipes under the chest and the belt buckle on most.
- Burnished gold on the center chest insignia and the skull if there is one on the head.
- Boltgun metal drybrushed over the metal bits.
- Dark Angel Green over everything else covering the slop. I liked how it looked with the armor joints black so I left those.
For the shoulders, I'm wishing I'd bits ordered a whole shitload of the DA shoulderpads. I like that the painting the insignia on gives it a bit of an individual look, but still there's so many of them.
I think there's a pic or two in my test shots of the army. I've gotten a bunch more done since then. I need to figure out how to use this camera and do some close ups of a squad.
