I am addicted to Crystal Light Lemonade.
Can someone please do something about this awful humidity???

BE CAREUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
Part 1:
When I was in high school, I was THE neighborhood babysitter. Booked weeks in advance, could set my own price. I loved kids and babies and got a reputation as a "baby-whisperer", one of those people who can instantly sooth even the crankiest baby. I thought I wanted LOTS of my own kids.
Fast forward to college. One accidental pregnancy, terminated freshman year b/c we were way too young. I worked as a part-time nanny for a wealthy family in Dublin, Ohio. When I started they had 2 kids. By the time I left, they had six, including a set of twins. One of them is my goddaughter. Another accidental pregnancy, this time miscarried in the fourth month.
Afterwards, somewhere along the line I lost the desire to have kids. Not that it was a bad experience; helping raise the kids was lovely in fact. (Being pregnant was miserable though...) Rather, I had a kind of been-there, done-that feeling. So I figured I would lead a child-free life.
Fast forward to two years ago. Eleven of my friends had babies in 2003. Eleven! As my child bearing years began slipping away, I started to question my decision NOT to have kids. It was a major factor in breaking up w/ my boyfriend of 10 years (well that, and he had like -zero- libido... ). For the first time I believed in the biological clock.
So when I moved to NY last year, all my friends were waiting for the big announcement from me, wondering, would she get knocked up? or adopt???

I've been sitting outside in a towel and flip flops. My deck has turned into my own personal sauna.
