Today is the day of Satan. Commence evil doing.
Yesterday I worked in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, at LICH, and on my way home I was winding through Red Hook when I came across this. It made me very happy! In addition to having the most amazing produce, the most extensive kosher section I have ever seen, about 100 different selections of olive oil, every spice you can imagine and all kinds of European chocolates, etc. etc. etc., there is a delightful outdoor cafe with a lovely view of the statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan.
Even though I have to drive there, it's only a few miles away and well worth the effort.
Yay!
On another note, I spent the weekend in Philly for my grandfather's 90th b-day and my cousin's HS graduation. My GP is so feisty! He kept grabbing my GM's ass during the party!
However, while home alone the next night, my nearly-blind grandmother took quite a fall which she broke w/ her face... Ouch! Worst part was she did not call us, and since we got home late, she was already in bed asleep. We found out the next morning. She is on coumadin so the bleeding is exacerbated and she looks just awful! She has a giant egg on her forehead, her left eye is swollen shut and that quarter of her face is literally black and blue. She had a CAT scan today to rule out intracranial bleeding. Luckily she's okay! She just needs to realize that she can't do all the things she used to do.
There has been a family of stray kitties running around my little corner of the neighborhood: three kittens and a mother. Last night only one of the kittens was around and s/he was crying and crying for the others, who were nowhere to be seen. I gave him/her some food but couldn't catch him/her. If the kitten is still around tonight, I'm going to try again. My kitties were pretty upset by the crying and I think they would welcome the little kitty.

I forgot to give you your little sweater back, as well as $25. Wanna come over and play one day after work? You can meet my "Kitty". That was not meant to sound as dirty as it did.
