Damn, I've been listening to Radiohead's "Ok Computer" for the last 24 hours now and I'm still blown away by some of their arrangements. I've wanted to open up my playing and writing for the last few weeks, so I've pulled out some cds that I don't really listen to often. Different styles of music than I usually listen to. Go buy this cd.
Was it just me, or did the weekend just fucking fly by? Friday was a blur, and Saturday, I went with Cherrylove13 to the tattoo shop while she got inked. I knew that my girlie was tough, but she spent 7 1/2 hours getting worked on with a 10 minute break at most. That break was pretty much only so Chase could hit the toilet and rest his hand. What a trooper. I'm still jealous. I talked to Don Miller about doing a Frankenstein piece on my leg. I'm pumped for it. Hopefully that'll happen this weekend. I'm calling it my right of passage into manhood. Don is known for being a very painful artist that only does dry wiping. Everyone who has a tattoo knows about the redeeming feeling of the cold and wet towel cleaning off the tattoo. Well, imagine a dry paper towel wiping the excess ink off. Ugh. But I'll be good. I'm so geeked. I still want to get a bamboo tattoo, but that'll probably not happen for a number of years. I'd love to go to an actual tribe to get it done, but I'm not holding my breath.
I also went out and picked up a book on different Buddha's this weekend. I'm planning my sleeve for my right arm, so I want to be thorough. I'm excited about that too. Damn, look at me, one big ball of excitement.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend and have an easy time at work this week. I know that I'm not in the mood for it. Then again I never am.
Time to start counting down the days to the Motor City Tattoo Expo. It's a blast every year. I still miss when it was in Novi, but the new place they have it is much bigger.
I guess that's about it for now. Hope everyone has an easy Monday!
