Hey there, all. I'm sorry I haven't been more communicative. I've just been dealing with a lot of silly-ass shit from a lot of crazy-ass people. (singing) "That's when I reach for my revolver.."
Speaking strictly in symbolic terms on that last line, by the way.
(also B.T.W.- when do you decide that you've finally done all you can to help someone? Where is the dividing line between what your heart wants and what you have to do to survive?)
Okay, class-- Today's Question:
What have you done today to make this world a better place?
What will you do tomorrow?

*sigh*
Today I helped a research student to improve her PhD. And tonight I'm taking a Japanese lady to dinner to try and make her happy.
Not sure about tomorrow...
'that's when I reach for my revolver'
was it a nazi said this first? Like, Goebbels?
'When I hear the word culture, I reach for my revolver', wasn't that it?
I have been using it myself recently, in one specific context:
'When I hear the word "portfolio", I reach for my revolver'
Revolvers all round, pow pow!
How are you? Are things better?
