Ok, so I hadn't updated my journal in sooo long. I just went on a huge rant about how this place sucks.
I had to write another.....it doesn't suck that bad. The weather & beach are wonderful! There isn't much to do though. Adjusting from going out in NYC, to downtown Charleston is a bit rough!
I did see a good band Sat though, thanks to a member, deacon
I saw The Defillers, and they were really great! Much better than I ever expected a local band to be! There were some people there I could see myself chillin' with...but I was with a friend who just didn't seem into it & my boyfriend. I didn't really talk to anyone, except the Jeager girls! ahaha They gave us some honey shots, or a liquor I didn't know existed...tasted like honey cough med. I prefer the original Jeager.....am I even spelling that right?
Anyway, I got a DAMN speeding ticket on an industrial park drive that I live off of. There is never ANYBODY on it..unless they live at my complex. I didn't know why I was being pulled over, till the cop said, "you were going 50 in a 35"....guess that's not good to do on a desolate road! I think the bitch just pulled me over 'cuase I still have my Jersey plates. I have to take the plung & just switch them. I have to stay here a couple years...I better get used to it!
I'm going back up to visit & spend some good quality time in NYC the beginning of March! I'm soooo excited! I'm just afraid when its time to drive back w/the rest of my stuff....I won't want to make the drive! I hope when I get back I don't get that sickly feeling again. I know everything is what you make it though. So, I'll have my sewing machine & drafting table w/me now, so I'll just get back into my artwork & all will be well. Especially when i can lay on the beach in the southern heat!
For now....I'm looking forward to getting some DAMN GOOD falafel in manhattan while I'm back & some new shoes from St. Marks! HELLS YEAH
on a side note....why did they close Religious Sex on St Marks? I LOVED that shop!
