Traveling to new lands has always been something that I enjoy. The destination has never mattered to me, it's always been about the search and the adventure. I always find something or someone that makes my travels worth while. I have been to what seems like the ends of the earth. I lived in the Gulf of Alaska for months on end in the middle of the ocean. The Bering Sea is one of the most treacherous bodies of water in the world. There is nothing but freezing waters, huge storms, and bitter cold. The sun would not come out for what seemed like weeks on end, and if it did, it would barely peek from under the thick clouds. After months of not seeing the sun I would get depressed. I remember one morning the sun came up over the horizon and it was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. The sky was clear and the sun looked like a huge glowing piece of molten glass over the horizon. I still remember how good I felt at that moment. When you look back at where you have been, you are not really going to remember the bad days, but the good memories you take from your travels will last forever.

As they say life is about the journey, not the destination. But from what I am hearing both have been good for you lately!
I love the way you described seeing the sun. Though I have never experienced lack of it for nearly as long as you have, I appreciate the depression that lingers when you don't to see the sun. And it truly is an event to get to see it and feel it.
Stay happy!
