i fukkin love my friends.. i have had two kick ass days.
my girl meghan met up with me after work yesterday.. we walked along the river to eau claire, got a bottle of wine, stole some booster juice cups so we'd look inconspicuous.. we went and sat by the river where we drank said bottle in record time.. she skipped stones on the lagoon, i fed canadian geese, then decided that was ultimately a bad idea, as they got a little hostile when i ran out of bagel sacrifice..
we walked across the park, past these dudes and their bongo drums.. meg decided they definately had pot and that we needed to go back.. in going back, she decided i needed to do the talking.. i didn't.. we just sat down and sure enough, they shared.. we drummed.. i think we had a moment.
our departure was hastened by the overwhelming need to pee.. we made it to the arena on memorial, then caved and went in the bushes.. three feet behind me, people are running, biking, rollerblading... meghan yells up to me, 'yo dude, you're really camoflaged up there.. i can barely see you at all'. wow.. she's sweet, sometimes not too bright.
our journey continued west, through urban jungle, we had some down time.. walking in silence til i remembered i had my discman with me. but we had to share, so i introduced my meghan to ray lamontagne, she had one ear piece, i had the other.
we walked, arms linked, stumbling all over each other and laughing too loud, through sunnyside. we secured movie, subway and slurpees, then had a girly sleepover at my house.. same as we did when we were 4.
this morning, we had a luxurious breakfast, then she mosied off to work.. i grabbed my board and went for a skate by the river.. stopped at a patio or three and enjoyed a frosty pint.. read my book in the glorious sunshine.. it was awesome..
i will miss this city, but not for long..

Is that a Chilean Rose Hair? I have a one year old female named Wilford Brimley. I don't handle her though, she's quite aggressive. Also I don't feel like getting those hairs under my skin.
