Went to Slipknot last night.. floor tickets. my god were they ever loud. my buddy Jade is a bit of a metal head.. well, used to be - he's playing the corporate game at the ripe old age of 27 and no one he associates with would be caught dead at Slipknot, or Ministry, or Slayer... so I'm concert buddy (and car buddy cuz he can't change his own tires..).
Not that I'm complaining by any means, but I can't be bothered with details like costume and make-up and the pre-show effort of making the mask.. the people in the stands stormed the floor at one point.. bit of a displacement issue.. people were jumping a tier up from the railings into the mosh pit.. it got a bit nuts.. saw some good split eyebrows and swollen cheekbones, a broken finger, some girl passed out - typical mosh pit injuries..
Saw three cops take down this scrawny kid, he really gave them a fight too. Fat cops. and the most beautiful boy I have ever seen. I say boy because I felt like a pedophile.. he couldn't have been more than 17, but omigod was he beautiful. I wish him luck with the underwear modelling career that will find him in 4 years.
