Hey Brian Herbers books do seem to be a bnit..Trite at times, but at the same time i enjoy them because it brings me back to the universe i had such fun escaping to in the first place.

I still love the movie Dreams by Kirosawa, it iusnt in my favorites same reason Baraka isnt. it is almost too personal a film to blithely put out there as one of my tops.

Have no idea where to get got authentic southern food. But Montage has some southern inspired dishes. Fried chicken ..i still love Popeyes! hm where else? check citysearch portland. they are a good food resource.
