The time has come, the walrus said, to think of other things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And while the sea is boiling hot, and weather pigs have wings, caloo, calay, no work today, we're cabbages and kings.
So maybe I'm not a cabbage or king, but I'm possitively living in a world on nonsense. It has come to my attention quite recentaly ( I can be rather dense at times) that I'm working 8 to 12 hrs a day, 7 days a week, all over the country and am still having to borrow money from family and friends. Now, I've gone over and over this in my head and I just can't figure it out. I mean, if you work 12 hrs a day AND 7 days a week, aren't you supposed to MAKE money???? Apparently, the evil cooporate empire I work for is in total disaggreement with this concept. So after comtemplating my current situation, coming up with no one person to shoot for this crap, I'm looking for a different job in the area. I think I found a lead on 2 sp far and should know something by the end of the week. Wish me luck!!!!
And, hey, if you live in or near NYC and know of anything good going on this weekend, please let me know. I'm still trying to find friends in the area and since this is actually the first week I've been here all week, I'm not doing as well as I'd like. Wow, I really feel like a twisted version of Mr. Rodgers right now. Won't you be, please won't you be, my neighbor?????

On meeting people, really there's no easy way. I'd suggest trying to join the regional groups and going to group events if that's the kind of thing you want to do. I think really it just takes time. It was over a year before I corresponded with people from this site long enough to want to meet any of them. We're friends maybe after a while I might want to hang out with you, but we'll see. I'm not a moron and you could be a psycho for all I know, ya know.
