Ok, so i have a question...anyone out there in SG land feel free to respond...
Do Drs take an oath to not listen to the words coming out of a patient's mouth? Just wondering, cuz i went to the dr today and told them what I had been diagnosed with and she said that couldn't be it, cuz a CT scan couldn't determine that and then she diagnosed me with something totally different. Something that I've been diagnosed with before and it was proven not to be the case that time. Just like I don't think its the case this time. I'm the one experiencing the pain and symptoms, don't u think that would mean that she would want to listen to me. Now, i'm not tryin to self-diagnose here, but when they say there's a mass, that generally means there's a mass. Especially if it shows up on a scan. Its not magic, it didn't just appear out of nowhere. So really, any help or thoughts on this one?
Confused and perturbed Dreamer!!!!!

It sucks & I'm sorry your dr isn't listening to you. As a nursing student & a nice person in general, I am very compassionate about my patient's well-being. We are taught to listen to whatever our patient tells us. If the patient is feeling pain, we cannot deny them or ignore them. THEY are the ones suffering & each person's tolerance for pain is different.
You need to complain & change doctors. You may need a specialist... Good luck & feel better soon
It really made me want to scream. I know there's something wrong, and I've got about a month to get it figured out and fixed before I have to make another trip to the hospital to deal with the pain. Its unbearable, and physically, i can't take it anymore.
And, in all honesty, i was at a clinic where they work on a sliding scale, because unfortunately, i don't have insurance. So yeah, it could've been a rush to get me in, seen, diagnosed, and out. But all patients matter, and I'm scared and really need someone to listen to me. I know my body better than anyone else.
