i know dreams are the sprouting point of my sleeping addiction. when i wake up, i find myself struggling to get back to a dream. that unknown realm of a subconscious reality, a world within the mind.
last nights went something like this:
after a speeding car chase through densly forested back roads i ended up swimming. some kind of river, jungle on either side. we (we who, i do not know) approached the cave, you had to swim underneath to enter it. there were two ostriches living there. One kept biting my hand. they swam too. there was a pool in the cave, seperate from all. natural stairs had formed from rock on more than one side of the pool. I knew this had once been a protected place, but now we swam in it.
I got out and went to the other side of the cave. it lead out into a misty lake with a zen house perched in the middle. old wooden planks across posts made a maze like walkway to the other side. when i got to the middle i found i was wearing 3 rings, all gold. two on my right hand (pointer and ring) one on my left hand (middle). my speech turned to that of a hobbit briefly. Then i noticed the makings of a puzzle that i had solved to get the rings before (i was under the impression this was not my first time there). the puzzle centered around a podium in the middle of the water. there were contraptions all around, some on the ceiling (the lake was somehow indoors now).
we (again, dont know who, but there was a handful of people) were distracted by the garage/workshop and decided to rifle through it. I think this was a distraction to going ahead, across the lake, or to the old man's zen house. i know we were hesitant to go to his house because he was angry with us last time we visited.
and that was my epic dream last night. this occured after i had woken up with a hangover and realized i needed to sleep more.
on a side note, my friday night was spent drinking wine from a box (a franzia blush) and attempting to solve a rubik's cube. last night was more exciting, it involved beer and dance dance revolution, which i am now addicted to.
