So I've been doing the stay-at-home-mom thing this week, and let me tell you, I have this house running like a well-oiled maaaachine! The laundry is in order, things are clean, the garden is coming together. I planted spinach carrots and green beans in the veggie garden yesterday. I've also been cooking a lot. This is why I love summer: warm weather, grilled food, my vegetable garden and kayak. This old lady at the gym today also pointed out that girls in skimpy clothing is also a benefit, I suppose she's right.
Speaking of the gym (and just as an aside, this is a somewhat stream of conscience journal, I just felt the need to update), I think I'm facing the four letter word that no one training for anything athletic wants to hear: REST. Blah, my legs are out of gas, my knees are starting to feel iffy and my shins are getting shin splints. Anybody deal with shin splints before? Anything you can do... other than rest?
Recommend a book to me, I need something to read. Also, what are you doing this summer?
