Happy New Years Eve, folks
I finally have some pictures in the profile, and congratulations to Cerah for correctly identifying the bird species shown in one of the latter pictures. Although, your right, you kinda did have an edge because the only other person I've known whose known the difference between a duck and a loon was also a CanadIAN (sorry, i try to type out the accent.)
Tonight I either have option of going to a college party for new years eve or being anti-social. First, let me give you all the argument for being anti-social...
A typical New Years Eve in the life of Fermion: Several years ago I was with my friend and we were supposed to go to a New Years Eve party at someones house. They told us to drive out to the general vecinity and call when we got close for directions. We drive out, we call, no answer. Its loud in the party, she cant hear her cell phone, all 8 times that we call.
So we give up... and in turning around to head home I pull a jackass u-turn. Next thing i know im getting pulled over by an SUV... who looks out for an SUV when watching out for police?! Anyway, I pleaded complete stupidity, told the officer that i didnt "understand the situation" Not only did I not understand the situation, but i didnt have a valid drivers license. In order to find my registration, I had to sort through a whole bunch of uncashed checks which raised his eyebrows a lil as well. Eventually, he let me off on stupidity.
I did not get far, however, before my car decided to break down. We gave it a lil breather, it started up again and we got it home albeit very slowly. Finally, I get home and my key breaks off in the door. By that point I had to just sit and laugh at my misfortunes for the night. We spent the remainder of new years playing Madden on the Super Nintento.

i think that video games are the proper way to spend a new years! To bad you didn't live near chicago. I would have invited you to a party AND given you proper directions! So what did you wind up doing last night?
