Hello world of SG!
It's been a while, and for that I am sorry!
Since I've last updated, a lot has changed. I was juggling 2 to 3 jobs for over a year, anywhere from bartending at a popular night club, getting into mixology at a high end bar and even helped a new beer garden get their feet on the ground with office work and such. I feel like the whole experience tested me a lot, I had to learn to get a long with a ton of really snobby douchy "mixologysts", who in my community for some reason is prodomatly men.
To say the least I got burnt out; in more of an extreme way then I thought it would go, but it all came crashing down. Now I find myself going from working crazy long late hours 6 days a week making really nice money, to now two nights a week making minimum money and trying to find what I really want to do with this part of my life. I've never been a full believer in finding something and forcing myself to always stay with it. Bartending is a great example of that. These days I'm finding myself attracted to working with kids. I've had over 6 interviews in the last month and a half trying to find a good fit for either nannying or preschool teacher jobs. It feels really good to force myself to spend time with myself, if that makes any sense, but I'm truly starting to find myself going in a direction that makes me feel really good about myself. Money these days really isn't as important as it used to be, and now I find myself looking only for things that will make me feel like I accomplished something positive that day. Making people drunk is fine, but after 3 years of doing that and 4 years of serving before that, I'm done serving people. I'm ready to be served.
Anyways, I'm staying positive, cooking like crazy! Like I'm a mad woman in the kitchen and didn't even know it! Reading a lot more, going on a ton of adventures with my best friend my dog Kingston, and loving the support I've been getting from all my friends and loved ones. I've also been playing behind the camera a little bit, have a set coming out tmrw and I can't wait!
Here's some food I've been cookin up:
Some fun adventure days with my big doggie #kingstonbear:
