Well, the party was really nice and many people got there... I got back to the studio on monday and I missed it. I'm getting my life back on tracks. The scars will heal and I'm seeing a therapist. My demo will be recorded, my band will make shows and I am going back to modeling as soon as I look better. And I will record many great bands!
I mastered a really funny punk rock band last month, they released their album already. check at

I know what you're saying... i mostly do live sound instead of studio work, and i'll do sound for anything that pays, no matter how much i hate it. But it's really wearing me thin, doing sound. It's like, how many times do i have to save the fucking day? How many of other people's problems do i have to solve? How many times am i gonna walk into an under equipped venue with garbage gear? How many times am i gonna be told 1 thing only to have EVERYTHING be the exact opposite from what i've been told so i have to scramble to undo what i set up to adapt to this new information? Ohhhh my god this band is sooooo bad shoot me now! (the rediculous stories i could tell. . .) well, i'm getting paid to be here! Even then, i rarely do it any more. Only certain people will actually get my sound-engineer services. it's not worth the stress otherwise.
Although sometimes everything works just right and the band/artist is great and it makes the whole thing worthwhile. But it's pretty much convinced me, Fuck it. I'm just gonna worry about my music because that's where it's at! Go Me!
I'd love a visit and a tour guide! Who knows when the hell i'll ever be able to get down there. It's been almost 2 years since i've been back to NYC (where i grew up and spent most of my life) and all my family and friends have been bitching at me to come back for a visit. And i miss the pizza! But, yeah, if you ever find yourself where i am, i'm more than happy to be a tour guide. Two words: World Tour
Anyway, glad the studio is working out for you. I gotta go to work now, and then a fucking tuesday night gig and then up at 5AM for work wednesday morning. Yay gonna be cranky and grumpy!
