I'm not ever sure where to begin on this one. I was feeling very confident before the election, a good deal moreso than I should have, in hindsight.
Even now, in the aftermath, it is hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that there people out there... a LOT of people out there... who look at all the things the first 4 years of the Bush administration have wrought, and think to themselves "Yeah. THAT! I want more of THAT!" more war, more economic ruin, more poverty and pain, hate and destitution.
I don't really think of myself as an idealist, but maybe I am, to some extent.
