As a child, I was jealous of people born with extra digits. It wasn't until
much later that someone explained to me that extra fingers are normally
vestigal and don't really work. What a gyp.

I met three kittens in the desert last week. Each one has six toes on their paws. Do you think that they were vestigal? I bet they really worked.

I'd like an extra thumb. that'd be so useful!
