Hello Everyone!!
For my personal fact of the day, I want to talk about how I found Suicide Girls.
Back when I was a teenager and Blockbuster was still around, I rented the SG movie, The Suicide Girls Must Die. Within minutes I fell in love with the girls, their tattoos, their friendships, etc. When the movie was over I began researching SG. I found the website and browsed what I could. I was still young so I knew I couldn't generate an account on the site. Over the years, I started to notice SG girls on Tumblr and Instagram. So I followed my favorite, Rodeo. She was my absolute favorite. I think mainly because of the tattoos on her boobs. I couldn't help but think, "man, I hope one day I can be as cool as her."
However, as I finished high school and moved into college I forgot about the SG girls. I didn't have time to go on Tumblr anymore and follow the girls. Up until the past six months I was reminded of them when I saw advertisements for the Blackheart Burlesque show. My love for SG came flooding back and I immediately bought my boyfriend and I VIP tickets to go see the show in October. Since then I started following more and more girls on Instagram. On IG I got to take a look into the lives of many of the girls and get an even closer look than I did when I was a teen. Their stories and journeys inspired me to start my own projects, such as my writing project, drinking water, fixing my posture, trying new beauty products, and attempting to work out. Finally, I decided that I needed to see more. IG was not enough. And now, here I am, a member and a very happy one at that. I hope to continue learning about the girls. I absolutely cannot wait to go to Blackheart Burlesque in just a few weeks. To meet at least one SG girl has been my dream forever, and now I will meet quite a few of them all in one night! It will be a teenage dream come true.
