have you ever reached the point of cynicism that you can not discern compliments from ass kissing...?

this did not use to be a concern because there was nothing i could do to benefit or advance anyone.....not that i'm that all-powerful now...but my level of responsiblility/leadership/being the boss on the job i care about....it now seems that people are forever telling me how good i'm doing this or that or what a good idea such and such was....



before i had friends now i have subordinates and its hard to discern who is who...
