so the deal is in the works.. i found a 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 for sale along the side of the road the other day. it's a 2 door and i've been looking for one for years.. the body is in sweet condish.. the motor runs, it drives, the upolstery looks great and all the interior is original.. even has the original spare and hubcaps..
i was on pins and needles today because i got up the nerve to call the guy and met him at the car last night.. i think from the moment i saw the car i was in love.. she was mine.. she had to be.. i mean come on.. a dr 500 sittin right in front of me for less than 4k... you gotta be kidding me!!! so anyway, got up the nerve to call the guy, he met me and talked me through it for about 30 or 40 mins.. he didn't have to sell me on it.. i just had to ask him if he would be willing to work something out as far as payment.. and.. after feeling that huge fucking steering wheel in my hands and feeling her rumble under my ass... i had to have her.. shes mine damnit.. then he tells me that someone else offered him cash for it. and was supposed to pick it up today.. shit...
so i offered him 500 bucks more if he'd wait for me to pull the resources.. he said to call him today at 4pm.. fuckin a the suspense was killing me all fuckin day.. but i waited patiently.. watching the clock..2nd guessing whether or not i should call him again and offer more money.. but i subsided my lust.. and just waited.. patiently.. not getting shit done at work i might add.. not that ever do anyway.. but still..
so 4pm rolls around.. i make the call... the other guys backs out.. the dude is cool as hell... a fellow tatt guy that knows im gonna baby the shit out of her once she's mine.. so we work out a payment arrangement and by the end of this month..i'll be driving a 1964 ford galaxy 500 2dr in pristine condition that drives.... going friday to get pics of her.. im sure i'll be posting some then..
im so excited i feel like i did when i was a kid on christmas eve... only it's gonna last at least 2 weeks.. but all in all it was a good day..
