I have to say, I think my daughter may grow up to be a suicide girl. I had this super adorable picture of her, we were playing with duct tape and I put x's on her chest ... but I decided not to post it, in light of how many people would probably consider that kiddy porn.
Either way, I was thinking...as run down as Detroit is I think it'd be so great to do a shoot in a building like this
I need to go out sometime and have another one of these

There's so much to say, I'll just narrow it down to one event that has REALLY made my day.
For those who don't know, I am a property manager at an apartment complex. One of my duties is to ensure that all apartments are maintained properly and that seasonal inspections are done. This is to ensure that the owner's investment is being taken care of. With these seasonal inspections I also schedule pest control, to ensure that apartments do not have bugs. (Personally, I would tell management if I had bugs, but some people just ignore them
)
Either way, I sent notices to all of my residents at the beginning of this week stating that pest control would be entering their apartments to do a seasonal inspection Friday December 9th (today). They do not have to be present for this service, the service is required per their lease and if they had any questions to please call me. *No phone calls received*
Today, pest control arrives, I give them keys and a list and they head out on their merry way. About 10 minutes later I receive a phone call from my maintenance saying that he was almost run over by a resident that was going 40 mph in our parking lot trying to get to his apartment. He watched as the resident jumped out of his car, ran to his apartment all the while screaming at the police on his phone.
Turns out, as I find out later from the pest control company, they knocked three times on the door (which is the standard) when nobody answered they opened the door, announced their presence (pest control, anybody home? pest control, we're entering your apartment) and as they stepped in they noticed the bedroom door move a little bit, so they stepped out and announced their presence again...this is when the resident runs out of the bedroom and yells NO! NO! GO AWAY, I DON'T WANT YOU HERE!!! So they apologize and move on to the next door neighbor....
Well she obviously called her boyfriend and he came "rushing to her rescue" because she was being robbed...
These residents moved in only last Friday...so this is great! Let me also point out, this property is majority hispanic and black, the resident who refused service is...you guessed it...white!
Anywho....the resident's FATHER comes into my office right as the pest control company is leaving. This gives him an opportunity to see that I actually have pest control on site, PERFECT! (Side note...my pest control guys work in pairs so there is always a witness for everything. They are fully clothed in uniforms that are clearly show they are pest control and what company they work for ....and they are white.) He asks the pest control technicians a couple questions and when he is satisfied pest control leaves for the day.
Once pest control leaves this is what he tells me...You have two black men walking around here in broad daylight posing as pest control, they are knocking on my daughter's door and they have knives and pepper spray. When my daughter answered the door they said they worked for ant eater pest control and they ran away when they saw the police.
THAT'S RIGHT...4 COP CARS came to the rescue because of the boyfriend....lmao
So I have to inform the father that although I have yet to speak to his daughter or her boyfriend, I only have one pest control company, you just spoke to them and they by no means have knives or pepper spray. They have clip boards and bug spray...and they're white and maybe she just saw the color of their jackets?!
So he says, well...I haven't gone to get the full details from my daughter yet, but I'll go right now. I'm sure you can understand how disturbing it is to recieve a call like this from your child. I came straight to the office to speak to you.
I explained to him that I did understand how upsetting a call like that would be, I suggested he speak to his daughter and feel free to have them come to the office if they'd like to speak with me in regards to this issue.
HA! HA! HA! HA! ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I tend to be quite open with my children (who are now 19 & 13) and applaud you being so with your daughter, but I caution you on posting any images of her that could be considered risque. Surely no one here would take it the wrong way, but even parents are prosecuted for disseminating child pornography when they transmit naked pics of their own kids. Please be careful.
