Hello my sugar pumpkins!
I've been not much around lately, what with the moving and working and schooling, but luckily, this site is always here when I get back. I've got a set coming out in 2 weeks, and another, slightly more high-budget one in the works. Still collecting all the pieces for it though.
Times have been difficult on the band front. I may have mentioned, our drummer left us the January and it's had an impact. As we try to pull ourselves out, and let the dust settle, we're also trying not to tear each other apart. It has been a dramatic and traumatic as the end of any relationship. At our show on Sunday, we announced that we would no longer be playing as Olken, but will be continuing to make music together. The whole situation is...a grand old mess. I hope it unmesses soon.
It was a good run, Olken.
In other news, it's raining today, so the house is swelling up and dripping. Sounds like the little creatures under the floorboards are taking a morning snooze. I opened the 11 blinds and 2 curtains, even though there isn't a sun out today. Last night the landlord came by, concerned that there were dishes in the sink. The dishes were here when I moved in, but I wasn't going to argue. Her worry about the house is always strange to me, because the whole place is falling apart. There's mold growing on a few of the walls in the drawing room and the dining room, and everything in the house is pealing. She doesn't live here, which is nice. She's a hoarder. The house is filled with giant piles of unopened mail that date back to the 1980s. Every day I discover more about this woman, her weird story, and this insane house I'm living in.
I've never had such a big bed, or such a big room, all to myself. I've also got this great daycoat...
I just wish the walls were less green.
Oh yes, girls who are planning on visiting me this weekend, please PM me for details! I know my sweetiepie Auriga is coming over on Thursday. I'm so excited to see that little flowerchild!
Today I will do videoart and prepare for my new roommate. He is from Philly, so he has that cute way of talking.
Be well and safe and happy, little trees.
