There's no justice. If you've been following my saga, then you'll know I had my appeal hearing on Friday. It just goes to prove, no matter how much the gov't thinks the D.O.L. there is to help you, it's also there to side with the company to fuck you. Am I bitter, damn right I am. And I'm sure my blogs are still being monitored by my former employer. How do I know they read them because they tried to submit my post employment blogs as evidence against me. If you remember this is America, there is still somewhat freedom of speach.
Yes, this blog is going to be all over the place and long winded, but I'm furious. Like I said, I had my appeal last Friday, which was after battling the flu for a week. I showed up, hoping they wouldn't send anyone and I'd win by default,but I don't have that kind of luck. I'm not sure what the arbitrator was listening to, but obviously not me. There was no defamation, she must've been as ignorant as the company and not know the defintion of defamation. Defamation is defined as: false or unjustified injury of the good reputation of another, as by slander or libel;n abusive attack on a person's character or good name. There was no harm or negative comments. The closest post was one employee who was fired and said she was escorted out by management. There was no reason or negative words. A person just looking at the group wouldn't think any less of a company because they fired and escorted an employee out. Even my comment of saying that I've been trying to get out of there doesn't claim that it's a bad company to work for. But, now that it's behind me, that placed sucked, it was badly managed from top to bottom. Oh and slander doesn't apply to truth. Oh and once again, notice, I haven't mentioned any names, but they know who they are so they can go fuck themselves.
Going in, I knew my problem was going to be the logo issue, but go all over the web and you'll see copyrighted images used, and some for negative reasons. I set the group up so that former employees can keep in touch. And guess what, that's how I was officially found out, even though 2 members of management were in the group and never said anything. The troll was looking for the Assistant Warehouse manager, who was 1 of the members of the group and found him in the group, go figure. But then I guess his balls dropped that day and he turned me in. I'm sure it's not the first time he'd been there. The group wasn't a secret, but was limited to only employees and former employees. In hindsight I could've made it private so their 'customers' couldn't read it. But you'd have to have customers that bored to search out a group to read about who was leaving and if we were getting together. So someone got fired and that's defamation saying that they were escorted out. And even my wanting out of there, I know I repeated myself, but I'm making a point. Especially when you hear CEO's getting millions of dollars in pensions after they run a company into the ground.
Back to the hearing, so they showed the logo was trademarked, but they had no evidence of defamation. Nor did they prove any negative influence. I guess that didn't make it into anyone's brain.
Let's go back for a second, last paragraph. 2 members of management were IN the group. Their claim that I was aware of their policies, but if management was involved in the group and they read the same manual and signed the same thing, that they knowingly were involved in a group that is against company policy, shouldn't they be punished too?
If you read their claims you'd have thought that I went to work and instead of doing my job fucked around and just tried to get everyone to turn against the company. I admit, the place was not the best to work, I have worked in worse environments. I was not the only 1 unhappy there, read any comments to previous blogs. And I have emails, but there are plenty of people who are unhappy with their jobs and many let it affect their job. The fact that I did my job better than anyone else there and put up with the incompetancy of my immediate manager, it's amazing that I made it there almost 3 years. And I'm sure that pathetic excuse for a human troll is reading this, and yes you can't manage your way in a wet paper bag. Neither could any of the managers there. And I was such a bad employee and didn't do my job, that they gave me a raise 3 weeks before I was fired and said I was lucky because there weren't many raises this year. Wow, that doesn't sound like a bad employee with a negative history.
Why? because I had no, nothing, nada, zip of any negative things in my file. Why, because I was a great employee, I'm not the cheerleading, smiling from ear to ear type, but that's why I wasn't in sales, but I probably sold more than any other warehouse person. Worked more days off, sick, longer hours than anyone else. Never called in sick, no one else can say that, troll even abandoned his job after his dog died, didn't call in for days, did he get fired....no. That's job abandonment, grounds for dismissal, but I guess when your nose is the color or your masters latest fecal movement, you'll always have a job.
Yes I'm venting, not really making much sense and I really don't care. Our system sucks, from the President down. And once again, heed my warning, if you post anything online and care about your job, then don't say anything about it. Did I learn my lesson, yeah, don't work for unethical piece of shit companies. Did I say unethical, what could I mean by that. Let me think, here's an example, if a vendor gives you something to give away and you go so far as to put up a raffle box, then never give the prize away, but sell it. Doesn't seem very ethical to me. I'm sure I'll have more when my head clears.
Ad the answer to my above question did I learn my lesson part 2? I'll always speak my mind, I will always call shenanigans, I will always call people on bullshit, always have always will. That's it.....for now.........I would tell them to suck my hairy sac but they're not even worthy of licking shit off of my shoe...
