I think Aretha's version of this song is profound, her lead vocal & the layering of her background vocals always gives me a chill, Kind of like in "Spanish Harlem" but this one is even better. Her piano playing & the rhythm section are communicating on some verydeep levels.

I listened to Nader one night on the radio
on WPRB out of Princeton when he ran,
and I thought how could you not want him
while other runners had only "God, Guns, and Gays"
to stand upon Nader brought 20 or so issues to the party
