Excitement, HYDE PARK style...
everywhere i drive all day is within a 1.5 sq mile radius. there is a huge economic range, with 3-5 million dollar 5 story mansions, and gang-infested low-income housing. it is not like cabrini green bc that is both dense and yet less commercially developed. it is dense with people popping out btn cars to cross the street anywhere and also tons of traffic and people dving agggressively mixed with people meadrering and stopping to get out of their cars to chat up someone on the sidewalk.
very crazy.
so yes, I was driving to get my 7 yr old and my 3 yr old was alseep in the car, and there was a man lying in the road bleeding, who appeared in bad shape b4 being hit, and a woman in a fur coat looking distressed but not doing shit, and two other guys from a delviery van standing there but not doing anything. so i pulled over and parked and told one of them to call 911 and asked the guy if he was ok and he said no, and began complaining, and was bleeding superficiallyu frm the side of his head and nose and his eye was swelling up bad but he basically got hit from behind not too hard and pitcehd forward...
he stood up on his own and walked to lean on her suv... and i told her to let him in bc it was so so cold and peole who bleed can go into shock - and they were all in the road! once he got in she agreed to move it over and wait for the police. i held back traffic, and they said the police were coming and then i told them i had to go get anther kid and left.
things like this piss me off bc in NYC everyone has that hustle, that new york minute thing happening, and so the first people there just jump to help and don't need some bossy person like me come tell them what to do.
well, i am not just a teacher, let's say.
also, the rich woman in the fur w/ the SUV was black and the homeless dude who was hit was white. that is part of what i love about hyde park... what were you all thinking?
