Well, I passed the CPJE! I got an 84 and needed a 75 to pass! Yay! I sent in all my paperwork (and $$$) and was licensed back in November. When I got the news that I passed, I e-mailed my district manager for CVS and he said that he had some news for me. Apparently, a pharmacist in Novato quit and the pharmacist working at the new CVS in Napa was being sent over to the Novato store, so my district manager wanted to move me from one of the older CVS' in town to the new one. It is kind of a long story, but basically when CVS was still Longs out here, I was told that I was going to be at the new Napa store, since the conversion, the new district manager changed me to an older store. I had my hopes up for working at a new store and was not happy to be not going to that store. I got over it eventually...but was excited to now be assigned to the new store once again.
So, I have been working at the new Napa CVS for almost two months now. It is not too bad. The hours are kinda crazy. The store is slow enough that we only have 1 pharmacist on duty at a time, so my partner and I split the week. I am on Wed night, Thurs and Fri, and she gets the other half of the week. We also do every other weekend. So, Thurs and Fri, I am there open to close which is 8AM to 10PM... But, every other weekend, I have 4 days off in a row, so no complaints there. Although, I have been picking up other shifts at another store, so most of my long weekends have been cut short. But, the checks are nice!
Well, I better get ready for work. I need to swing by the library on the way to work and pick up a book. I just finished You've Been Warned by James Patterson, which was just okay... I didn't care too much for the end. I thought the end was going to be sooo amazing since it was so built up throughout the book, but it really wasn't, so it was kind of a let down. Hopefully my next book is better. Any suggestions?
