Sorry for not updating for a while, been a busy week or so.
Well, surprised my loved one for Valentine's Day, sort of - I actually had to leave on Valentine's Day itself, but the point was made over the four days preceeding it. My little surprise actually made her cry, a reaction I've never prompted in anyone other than when trying to hurt them, rather than show them how I feel. So that was nice...
**(In which I discovered again that I am not alone, and along with it strength and determination)**
A busy week since I got back on Monday, starting immediately with that recording session with the teenage idol-ish-type-person. Turns out he's quite cool, we got on, he took direction easily and I learned from him. A bit like most sessions with musicians really, so no surprise there. They're all the same really, just that some of them know people you've heard of.
**(In which I discovered that the only true judge of my abilities is myself, and that self assessment is only honest critique)**
Then more editing - woot. More of the same and lots more still to come. But the upside is some projects are reaching their end, which means I'll get to do the fun mixing part. And more importantly the next step, actually earning something from the fruits of my labour at some point. Time to start looking at the bigger picture, rather than immersing myself in my chosen desires.
**(Through which I am rediscovering hunger, the drive to succeed, the difference between apathy and belief)**
