Ok so it's time for a new blog as I'm really overdue now!
I think it's the earthquake we had this morning who woke me up as a reminder!!! haha!! Wasn't a big one.. 5.3 I remember waking up and thinking "oh, earthquake... haven't had one of those in a while!" Boom back to sleep... I obviously have no sense of self preservation sometimes...
I've got no excuses except that I've been working like a maniac this season! Let me now resume briefly what happened during those last 3 months...
So I travelled to the other side of the world. Just a short 24hours flight. Luckily, I was on a Singapore Airline flight the whole way, and the comfort is amazing... Food is not though... arhhh, I hate plane food.... I had a loooong 14 hours transit at Changi Airport in Singapore where I now have my little habits. Like getting a massage before having a nap in their nice napping room that look on a butterfly garden.... This time, I got a legs and back massage. Its so nice, they give your feet a nice salt water bath while you sip on a sencha tea. The man who did my massage was an old deaf malaysian. And he was really gifted I must say!!! My legs never felt that light (especially after a good 13hours in pressured plane cabin) and my back... oh my back... I had this pain just under my shoulder blade for weeks I couldn't get rid of, no matter how many stretches I would do. Well, he found the spot straight away, and, man, I cried a bit because it was well painful, but after, the pain was gone... boom... well done mister!
Anyway, I made it to Christchurch, NZ, greeted by the lovely sounds of Tui birds, but the journey wasn't over yet... I took me a little while there to gather my 100kg of stuff I was getting send to country and make it through Biosecurity... My pot of french mustard made it!!! woohoo! Then I had to get the rental car and drive another 7hours down to Queenstown. My hometown for this season. Ahhh the drive down... Man, those who never came to New Zealand.... well... come... It's absolutely out of this world... You won't believe it. Photographers, be ready to jump out of the car every 30 minutes... the lights are amazing here... so different, so much contrast, 360 views on gorgeous landscapes and lakes and mountains... I really wish to get a SG photographer to make a set for me in this country. Possibly on one of the beaches, white sand, wild, miles long, dramatic scenery,.... like if you were in Jurassic Park, and... you're usually the only person there...
Here's one beach I really loved (amongst so many more!) in Taputaputa Bay, near Cape Reinga in the far North.
But back to my lovely South Island, here are a few captions of my drive back...
After settling in Queenstown for a few days and starting to get my department ready for a new season, I got some time off, to wander around and drove all the way back to Christchurch to pick up my man at the airport. It was amazing to see him again after all this time apart! He was all nice and tanned by the burning sun of Brasil. We had a great week catching up but it was then time for him to go to Lake Tekapo, 3hours from Queenstown to start his ski patrol job. Its a nice small town in the middle of nowhere so it can get a bit boring... but the crew up the hill is loads of fun. I go up there every week and we had some great time skiing and hanging out in the hot pools.
Great snow as well, with regular big dumps, so my snowboarding is now going a bit better!!
So yeah, I haven't been very productive with anything SG... I've been following the girls though and I happily see a few of my hopeful friends make it pink! So proud of them! They all deserved it! When will be my turn?? haha... Well, probably when I take the time to make a real nice set... I'd love to work with P-Mod, as I love his style. I spend a lot of time of his flickr... He's so gifted...
I got in touch with the gorgeous Radeo to buy her one of her prints and she also put in the envelope an Instax picture of her taking by the talented Alissa Brunelli... I was stoked!! So happy!!! A unique picture taking just for me... I feel special... haha!!
I've been "instaxing" a bit myself since I've acquired a camera a few months ago... I love it... It's magical!!!
I have the small credit card sized films but I will, with no doubt, buy another one with a bigger sized film.
On a different subject I've taken a big decision recently. I'll be getting a breast augmentation in a few months from now... yes... after 10 years of dreaming of it... I finally found a way to get this surgery! I don't hate my boobies. They're alright. But in my mind, they should be much bigger. I just found that they never matched me very well. So I've been doing a lot of research to find a good and not overly expensive place. I've made my choice for Phuket, Thailand. Doesn't sound like a safe destination? I can understand that. This was the exact reaction of my man when I told him. But I'll be doing all this through this australian company called "Gorgeous Getaways" and they've had really good feedback from a lot of customers. Even on SG, a few girls went with this company and are very pleased with the results. And it's in my budget. There's no way I'm getting a credit on cosmetic surgery. Either I can afford it or not. In this case, I can! I know I have to expect a lot of different reactions from friends and family but it's my body and my decision. I will feel even better with new breasts so why shouldn't I give it a go?! It's just like with tattoos...
Speaking of which... I got a few new tattoos done recently! I had my back finished, the snow leopard pattern, and now I'm in the process of finishing my front arm with my fox in flowers. I'm going at Thunderstruck Tattoo in Queenstown. Alex is a genius and has a style I really like. Anyway, The flowers still need some filing and some general finishing. Next year, we'll be doing the full sleeve!! Exciting!
Apparently, the fox looks like the "Crack Fox" from the Mighty Boosh... So we had to watch that episode again... And, I have to say... he does a bit... So now, his name is Needely Needles...
I've also started reading and educating myself more in gardening and especially in herbs. It's a fascinating science... I can't wait to have a place of my own and spend some time in the garden... Like I was saying to my man, I could never be bored the day I have my own place!! We went to see a friend in Wanaka last week, and he gave me a little jar of St Johns Wort oil also known as Dragon Blood. It's a plant that's usually know for its anti depressing properties, but it's a great wound healer and it fights viruses and bacterias. You can use it as a rub on wounds or painful articulations, or have a teaspoon once in a while when you're feeling blue after spending to much time following winters!! The magic about it is that the yellow flowers place in a jar full of oil, put in the sun for a month and then... Tada!! It turns from light yellow to bright ruby!!
I'll be definitely trying to make some potions later (I feel like a witch a little! I like it!)
So yeah, life is now finding a smoother pace, which I like. And I can actually start doing fun stuff, like jet boating!! Heaps of fun, but my face was soooo cold after an hour I could barely speak and walking was a bit tough as my legs went all wobbly!!
We went to the underwater world to see those big fishes (salmon and trouts) that live in our lake and the little bums of the ducks. You could see some diving to get some food. Cute!
Ok, well that's it for now...
Peace and love in SG world!!
Much love!

Oh, I actually know that 'Amour en Cage' plant thingy, it's really tasty. I think the ones I found in the forest were slightly different, and a little bit too bright a colour for my taste. They just needed a little sign saying 'do not eat me, I shall make you puke your guts out'.
