Once you have the images sized to what SG will allow (400 pixels wide is a good safe size),
open up an image hosting site like
Image Shack
And then browse till you find the image on your computer that you want then to host, and click on Host it.
In a few seconds you'll be given some choices of which internet address you want to copy and paste for your http...number when you click on Image under the Insert menu in SG.
Choose Hotlink for forums (1) and highlight and copy that intire address.
In a NEW WINDOW with the image shack window STILL open incase you have to go back to it - Get into your SG page and start a new or add to your old journal entry, and when you're ready to insert your photo in EXACTLY the placement you want among the text, click on Image under the INSERT menu next to the animated emoticons and in the dialog box, paste the address you copied from image shack.
Click on submit and see if the image came up and what part of the address you pasted that you need to delete by doing an edit. Hit submit again and see if the picture is still there without the un-needed part of the address before and after the image. Good luck, and if all else fails, there's a help button available near where you start a journal entry.
