So, I got upto lots of stuff over xmas and new year.
The most significant of which was seeing my ex, which was really fucking weird, because we never wanted to split up. we just called it a day 'cos I moved out here. We knew from the start I was going to be coming over here, so we didn't actually mean for things between us to get serious, but, well, they did. We've hardly spoken since I've been over here either 'cos she was finding it tough to move on. I had lots of new and exciting stuff to do, so it was easy for me to think I was doing the right thing by not calling or writing much. Now I think I was just being an asshole. We're both seeing other people, which is good - her new guy seems a decent sort. Regardless, I was disappointed to discover that the thought of her with someone else really fucking kills me, it was grinding round in my head the whole flight back. The whole bed's of my own making though, so I guess I should stop complaining and lie in it.
Seeing everyone was really good tho' - made me realise how much I gave up to come over here, and now I want to redouble my efforts to do a fucking good job of things whilst I'm here.
We had a pretty low-key new years eve - just a meal out and a few drinks in front of the tv with five friends. Good stuff. Nick was given this game that electrocutes you for xmas. After enough white russians, Steve decided to electrocute his nuts

Ha I think I played that same game on New years..green light red light ZAP. Don't know if it's the same one but it is funny. I got zapped a couple of times. Anyway glad to hear you had a nice time and also sounds somewhat heartfelt, which can be difficult. Happy New Year
